What is Medicare?
Medicare is a federal health insurance program for:
-        people age 65 or older
-        people under 65 with certain disabilities
-        people of all ages with End-Stage Renal Disease

There are 4 parts to Medicare:
-        Part A (Hospital Insurance)
-        Part B (Medical Insurance)
-        Part C (Medicare Advantage Plans)
-        Part D (Prescription Drug Coverage)

MEDICARE Rx PLANS
Prescription coverage for generic and brand name drugs.

MEDICARE ADVANTAGE PLANS
Combined medical and prescription drug coverage. The same or better benefits as the
original Medicare plan.

MEDICARE SUPPLEMENT PLANS
Help pay for some of the costs that original Medicare doesn’t pay for. The premiums are
higher than Medicare Advantage Plans. Prescription coverage is not included. A Medicare
Supplement is also known as a Medigap policy.
